A man from Bessemer who'd been missing since September 2nd is now home wtih his family thanks to alert users of Facebook. Bessemer police announce this week 73 year old James Cunningham was found thanks to the social website. Cunningham suffers from Alzheimer's disease and a speech impetiment after a stroke. The story of his disappearance was shared multiple times on Facebook. That post was seen by a nurse at a hospital where Cunningham was taken, and she alerted authorities. Bessemer police say Facebook fans made a difference, and "thanks for all your shares that led to his safe return".
